Meeting Objectives:
1-Share understanding of the impact of key challenges facing
broadcasting
in a global environment with special attention to:
- global trends of broadcasting and cultural diversity;
- new network technologies;
- reach of local content;
- industry restructuring;
- the implications of the above-mentioned global trends on the
future role of cultural and media policy instruments
2- Develop a work plan for future meetings of the group
in order to
prepare a report for the INCP Ministerial Meeting in Lucerne, Switzerland
(September 2001)
